About the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra

Founded by graduates of the Freiburg University of Music, the orchestra aims to perform Baroque and Classical music in a historically informed manner. It quickly gained international recognition and is today one of the most sought-after ensembles in the early music scene, documented by more than 130 recordings, many of them award-winning.
